WSW led an urgent government affairs response to assist a major medical device company in response to a big protest by a competitor on a major multi-million (150m+) award from the Department of Defense. The protest extended over an18 month period and involved multiple decision makers within the then US Department of Defense as well as a final bid protest review and decision by the General Accounting Office. WSW contributed to the bid protest strategy at the highest level of company management and directly guided and led engagement with key elected officials and staff in both the House and Senate. The effort was successful and the original award was re-affirmed. WSW has continued to serve this medical device company ever since on a broad range of federal issues before Congress and the Executive Departments and Agencies as they have emerged, including the company being called upon to quadruple manufacturing capacity for their equipment in response to the pandemic.
