WSW Secures Major Funding for Monroe County Water Authority

In Brief

WSW has been working with the leadership of the Monroe County Water Authority (MCWA) since 2000, to support annual appropriations requests and track impactful EPA regulatory mandates. In the FY 26 Interior Appropriations bill, MCWA is designated to receive a Community Project funding request for just over $1m to improve Cyber security infrastructure, helping to safeguard the nearly 1 million drinking water customers in Central New York. WSW also continues to assist the MCWA on tracking important Federal mandates and provided strategic counsel for the leadership team during the chaotic COVID-19 pandemic. WSW provided up to date analysis of water infrastructure proposals during the Biden Administration’s push for bi-partisan infrastructure and climate legislation.
