Donna Mullins came directly to DC after graduating from Northwestern University with a minor in acting and a degree in English. When asked in her first Capitol Hill interview what acting had to do with politics, Donna replied, “Everything.”
What followed was nearly 20 years on Capitol Hill as Chief of Staff for the late Rep. Dean Gallo and Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen, senior Members of the House Appropriations Committee. Since leaving the Hill, Donna has spent more than 10 years working in the private sector in Washington. She briefly returned to Capitol Hill in 2013 to serve as Chief of Staff to Sen. Jeff Chiesa, who was appointed by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for an interim term.
Donna’s work at WSW is guided by her deep conviction that all constituencies have the right to be heard in the public square, and deserve to have their concerns acted upon by their elected leaders.
Donna is mom to two children and resides in Northern Virginia and on the Jersey shore.
