Rob Zucker, a native of South Orange, New Jersey, has had a lifelong passion for politics. During a visit to Washington at age 15, he met Sen. Frank Lautenberg, an experience that reinforced his desire to come to the nation’s capital. Sen. Lautenberg later hired Rob for his first job on the Hill.
Rob spent nine years on Capitol Hill in the New Jersey and Illinois congressional delegations. In addition to working for Sen. Lautenberg, Rob worked as Legislative Director for Rep. Steve Rothman, a Member of the House Appropriations Committee, where he focused on domestic funding and policy issues involving health, education, labor, homeland security, appropriations, transportation and infrastructure, and homeland security while overseeing an aggressive legislative agenda. Rob also worked for Rep. Lane Evans, who was Ranking Member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee. As a member of the WSW team for more than a decade, Rob has earned a reputation as a quick study and has been especially involved in public health advocacy and higher education issues.
Rob is a graduate of Tufts University, where he served as President of Tufts Democrats. He lives in the DC area with his wife and three children.
